Pink rose lingerie is everywhere right now, and I bought all of it
Also, I'm tattooing in California this spring!
In 2023, I didn’t buy a single piece of lingerie. As an ex-lingerie blogger/salesgirl, this was half incredible feat, half effortless task: I adore pretty things, but I also have an awful lot of them.
As 2024 rolled around, I came to the unfortunate realization that I needed a refresh. Many of the bras and bottoms I’ve had since 2015 were cute, but they were stretched out, no longer my style1, or I hadn’t worn them in years2. I sold some things, donated others, saved the pretty lace and embellishments from beloved bras that had no hope (RIP), and made a bit of room in my lingerie drawer.
There was a problem, however: For the first time in a long time, I had no idea what lingerie was even available.
A year and a half had passed since I stopped blogging. My Instagram ads changed from lingerie brands to tattoo suppliers. I no longer spent time at tradeshows, hadn’t been window shopping in ages. So I started browsing.
I reviewed dozens of luxury, full bust, and handmade lingerie brands over the years, and own beautiful sets I always assumed I’d have to save for my wedding trousseau, so needless to say, it’s rather hard for me to feel impressed. Even now, I still feel a little bit of “lingerie fatigue” after working in it for so long.
But in my brief search (ha ha), I came across a little trend I found that piqued my interest: Pink. Roses. On. Everything!!!!
Yeah, yeah, I know. Florals on lingerie! What a shocker! But this isn’t just roses woven into a simple lace. This is embroidery of perfect pink roses and tiny green leaves, romantic, vintage-inspired pink rose prints, and rows of pink rose-shaped trims climbing like a trellis of blossoms up your waist. It’s such a specific microtrend, so directly in line with what I always wish I could wear everyday. And now I can! I’m so excited to share it with you!! I hope you love this little round-up of lingerie featuring my very favorite motif.

I usually won’t buy myself anything from For Love and Lemons, since the sizing is mostly basic XS~XL and their slightly over-the-top strappy designs never look quite right on me. (Plus I think it’s a lil overpriced for what it is.) But this Naima bustier on the left KILLED me!
It has everything: Tiny ruffles! Fabric-wrapped heart-shaped rings! Sheer heart-shaped lace cutouts! Pink ribbons and a lace-up back! That cute basque waistline! And best of all, the perfect pink flower print sateen. I bought it in an XL and the fit is… fine. But all the construction details combined made the price worth it for me. I think the bustier is sold out, but the bra and thong are on sale right now.

Honey Birdette is another line I don’t usually buy, but the speed at which I purchased this full Whitney Romance set, including the matching embroidery-topped stockings…!
This brand created basically my dream lingerie fabric for Valentine’s Day 2024, with metallic candy pink roses and spring green leaves alongside little heart-shaped flourishes. The metallic finish makes the hyper-girlish motifs feel a little more sexy, and the bright green rhinestones give it a slight modern edge.
Unlike other Honey Birdette pieces, I was really happy with the fit in my usual size and didn’t need to go up in the band at all. It should go without saying, but just don’t buy the pieces from this collection that use their “silky satin.” Customer service couldn’t tell me what the fiber content was (eyeroll) and I verified that, yes, it is certainly the stickiest, plastic-y-est polyester satin you can buy outside of Party City. And at that price? Noooo thank you. But I’m saving the rest of the set for my bridal trousseau. It’s so stunning!
The Dita Von Teese Rosewyn group actually came out last year, and was the first pink rose lingerie set in this post that I fell in love with. I love Dita’s vintage-inspired fabrics and cuts, and the romance this pink rose embroidery adds? Perfect.
Someone on Reddit actually accused this set of being an Edge ‘o Beyond knockoff which, lol, no ma’am. Edge o’ Beyond did not invent or even popularize floral illusion mesh, and I actually have this identical suspender belt shape in a different fabrication from Dita’s Severine set, circa 2017.3
Anyway, I think DVT Lingerie is a good price for the quality, materials, style, and size range (especially compared to the previous two brands I mentioned!) but her pieces rarely sell out at full price, and the style is “everyday” enough for me to wait for a sale. So I’ve been waiting. For months. Ugh. Pray 4 me

Here’s the Edge o’ Beyond line that person on Reddit was talking about! As you can see, it looks nothing like the Dita set. However, it is totally stunning!
The black contrast straps feel quite chic, grounding the floral embroidery fantasy vibes. I love how tiny those hot pink flowers are; they have a sweet, candy-like quality, just like the name “Bonbon” suggests.
With that real-gold hardware and luxury vibes, I am tempted to get this set for my trousseau, too… especially given that it’s on sale (!). But I feel like I should save my money for honeymoon-ready loungewear instead of another structured set.

Even Victoria’s Secret leaned hard into pink roses this spring! They have a whole group of semi-basic lingerie featuring this sweet pink rose trim.
I love the vertical trim placement, with trailing roses covering lines of boning, or just mimicking it on panties. On other items, the same motif is embroidered in a scattered on powder pink power mesh to match. These pieces are definitely not as elevated as the previous brands’ takes on the trend, but they’re not as expensive, either.
To my eye, it all feels very “vintage honeymoon,” very ~coquettecore~, and very Bridgerton. For mall brand lingerie, I’m super into it.
I’m tattooing in California!
Here’s one fruit I’m harvesting from toiling in my tattoo career orchard: I’m doing a guest spot at PARALLAX in Milpitas, CA on May 13, 14 + 15, along with my friend Vannessa from Meadow Sky Studio!
The illustrations here are all available as tattoos! But I have a lot more pre-drawn designs: You can see all of my available flash pieces by clicking the “available” highlight on the Pink Petal Tattoo Instagram, but I’d love to do some custom work as well. I’ve already booked a handful of appointments, but do have some availability left if you’re in the area and would like to get a tattoo from me!
My books are open for April in NYC, too. I’m so excited for everything coming up. No matter where you are, I’d love to make you something pretty! Just fill out my form to book with me.
I actually love thongs now??? Life comes at you fast
Like many people post-pandemic, it takes a lot to get me in an underwire these days!
Edge o’ Beyond pays SOOOO much for Instagram marketing that they’re top-of-mind and have people believing they invented embroidered illusion mesh lingerie! Incredible.
